Engine removal can often very seem extreme to the average owner, however it is essential for many repairs such as turbo replacements, it makes even head
gasket replacement an easier task and as you then have full access to water pipes etc. at the rear of the engine and it is now our recommended method for all major surgery.

Here are a few pictures of an engine been removed and replaced as it had failed internally, a replacement engine from our own stock was fitted in place of the damaged unit.All replacement engines are tested before installation, they are subject to a series of tests and only if all are passed is the unit used.Before installation the engine is fitted with brand new Nissan spark plugs, new cambelt,, new inlet hoses,new thermostat, new pcv valves and pipes,rear crank seal , plenum bypass and of course new oil and filter.
This is the basis of the engine swap and from there the set up continues as once up and running a series of tests and diagnostic engine settings are undertaken including air and boost leaks , running and static timing checks, tick over settings, tps settings,throttle balance,loom and connectors tests and emissions are tested.
Following road testing and checking to be sure there are no coolant, fuel or oil leaks only then is the job passed over to the next stage, one month or 1,000 miles later we ask that you to return for a free system check and a free oil and filter change only then is the process complete.
